Yeahh are you confused yet? The tips given are not explained appropriately. First picture shows the horrors of finding the natural waist line and the next photo shows that one color Is better than tucking in?
This is the same as the high waisted short scare. This is way too generalized. I've experienced wearing a long shirt untucked and it looks disproportionate. The key is finding clothes that can work with tucking in.
Remember, the clothes cannot be too long or too thick if you are tucking in. This avoids bunching.
You also do not have to tuck up to the natural waist line. Wearing long layers does not mitigate this issue. It makes you look dull.
This is casual but great for tucking in. It won't cause a bunchy look. And short torso long legged women don't have to find the natural waist line to tuck in. I do not understand why they keep showing this.
You can also find dresses that meet at a higer waist.
For professional purposes, this look rocks on our body types. The shirt is tucked in and the blazer covers that part. You can see a majority of the skirt. And thights do not take away from this look.
Compare this look with the pink blazer look in the beginning. This blazer is not as thick and it's closed. The skirt does not need to be raised so high.
Point is you have options.
- Don't raise the skirts or the shorts to the natural waist line.
- Don't "over tuck"
- Make sure your fabrics are not too thick when tucking in.
- If you are wearing a jacket or cardigan, make sure it is relatively long and not bulkey material like the pink "don't" up top.
- You can cover the tucked in shirt, just as the young lady does in her black blazer above. You can also rock a longer blazer in a thinner material, just like the tote blazer above.
